Safe Haven
This is one of several large nests which we came across while driving the back roads in the flat lands outside of Anacortes, WA. It has always amazed me to imagine the hours involved with the feathered residents intuitively gathering piece-by-piece the random branches, twigs, vines, moss, etc. required to patiently and skillfully construct these safe havens in the sky.
