Bayview Farmhouse
There was something about the simple charm of this farmhouse with its’ unadorned clean lines, rocking chairs on the porch and white picket fence that captured my imagination on our recent visit to Anacortes, WA. I took several photos of it but this was by far my favorite. The house is actually painted a very light coastal grey with white trim but the warm glow from the approaching sunset lit it up in buttery cream tones that danced with the reflections from the sky and passing clouds in the puddle of standing rainwater. A quiet memory from a wonderful weekend spent with Marilyn, exploring the countryside where she called home while growing up.
