Wheelbarrows
I came across this scene outside of a feed store in Dallas, OR. Like color crayons dropped onto a hardwood floor these wheelbarrows gleamed against their earth tone backdrop. While growing up I worked at a local hardware store on the week-ends. One of my assigned tasks included wheeling out the shiny new wheelbarrows and lawn mowers to the front sidewalk where they could tempt the eye of unsuspecting passerby’s. Like fishing lures sparkling in the sun against the wet river rocks, a customer would occasionally take the bait and proudly wheel their “catch” inside the front door across the creaking linseed oil-soaked wood floors of Shetterly’s Hardware Store on a direct path to the cash register. Fish on!
